From the Archives: A Joyous Announcement
(Editors' note: Past issues of this publication provide ample evidence that blind people raising children is hardly a new phenomenon. The following appeared in the "News Notes" in the September, 1954 issue of the Minnesota Bulletin).
... Then we have two tiny new arrivals to report. Donnie and Elverna Kezar welcomed the addition of baby daughter, Pamela, on July 29th and on August 3rd, Ralph and Fern Aune became the proud parents of a new son, Timothy Ralph. Both families are in Minneapolis. ...
(Editors' note continued: Many of such announcements were made through the years. This one stood out because of the familiar name of one of the "tiny arrivals". Our own Tim Aune was raised by two blind parents, and he grew up to have plenty of adventures, including becoming the parent of two children himself).
